Dapper Drapes

This weekend’s project was to install the new and fabulous kitchen/breakfast nook drapes. They are so dapper.

If you look close enough, you can see a little man named Bo.

The fabric is from Calico Corners, made by my seamstress (mom) and the bamboo rod, constructed my handyman (Mr. T).

We even got Bo a little doggie bowl that matches the room, why not?!

Oh, and the mantel is back to normal.

Happy Monday!

Look what Santa Paws brought…

Santa brought me a new love. This hunk.

Meet Mr. Bo ‘Bear’ Johnson.

He’s just the sweetest little thing…

Untill he does this.

But most of the time he does this.

What a fun Christmas we had marking all over Grandma and Grandpa’s house!

But hey, I’m just a baby.

Sarah and Stephen holding the baby. –  (my sissy) has a cute blog here. Check her life out y’all.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I know I did – fun and family, what could be better?

And a parrot in a bird tree…

Sing with me now, “On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me….” Ok – that’s good.

I wanted to share with you all my bird tree. I have a silver tree, that hopefully one day will be a real tinsel tree, that needed a theme. I think that the bird clip Christmas ornaments with the feathered tails are so beautiful, so I made a tree on birds.

Here are a few of my favorites…

The Hummingbird

Quack. quack.

And the parrot sits on top!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

I happen to love the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and decorating. This year we have decorated our house to the max, and I’m afraid I won’t want to take it down. See our decor below, and I hope it spreads a little Christmas cheer!

O’ Christmas Tree…

A present for you…

The flowers that grow as fast as germs. But beautiful..

The stockings were hung with care…

Red Tartan plaid I just am obsessed with this year. I covered the books that are normally on my mantel in it.

Deer Santa.

The masterpiece thanks to Nell Hill.

Don’t worry these stockings are temporary for this year… until I find ones that are poy-fect!

This is my topper this year. Two white love birds.

And the food tree in the kitchen. I found a small alpine that holds the food-ornaments perfectly! This year we are going to hit up some after Christmas sales for some more fun foodies!

Like the pretzel…

And the soup…

OK- are you in the Christmas mood yet? How many of you have your Christmas shopping done?

Hello Lover…

Those are the thoughts that went through my head when I saw this beaut. I had to have it. I found this bamboo chipendale chair at Nell Hill’s in Atchison, KS. If  you live anywhere near Kansas, Oklahoma or Missouri, this is worth the travel- trust me. If you are going, let me know, I will carpool with you!

Sorry the photo is dark, and one day there will be fabulous curtains behind the chair..

Little Peanut sits next to him right now with one of my favorite coffee table books.

Happy Tuesday! Next up…. my Christmas decor.
